Pushkar Fair

Pushkar fair is one of the world’s largest camel fairs perfectly representing Rajasthan’s cultural and social spirit. During the fair, Pushkar turns into a bustling town with temporary tents! A fairly sleepy town transforms into a crowded scene with thousands of tourists, pilgrims, local rural people, traders, and camels.

The accent of this gathering is the trade of camels, horses, and bullocks. Besides that, a holy dip in sacred waters of Pushkar Lake and visit to the Temple of Lord Brahma. This one week long fair offers diverse experiences for travelers visiting this place. For competitive souls, there are plenty of contests such as camel races or rural sports. More exotic competitions include camel beauty and cow milking contests or turban tying competition. Visitors can also roam around the huge art and craft bazaar or enjoy folk music and dance performances. Golden Triangle – Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur

Besides two fantastic days in Pushkar fair, you will visit India’s Golden Triangle, which includes Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Delhi is India’s capital city, third largest urban area in the world, and is also a historic wonder. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, rebuilt for eleven times after each destruction. Jaipur is another architectural wonder to appreciate. In 1876, the city was painted in the pink color to commemorate the visit of Welsh Prince and hence often referred as the Pink City. Agra is famous for the Taj Mahal. Emperor Shah Jahan built this stunning monumental wonder in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz, who died in 1631 while giving birth. Day 1

We greet you at New Delhi International airport and bring you to the hotel. We provide you a welcome briefing covering various aspects of the tour. You will also receive the India travel kit containing all relevant documents for the trip (air/rail tickets, hotel vouchers, transport, sightseeing vouchers, guide, writing pads and other travel related documents).

Day 2

Indian capital, New Delhi. We start the day by visiting the brilliant red sandstone fort, Red Fort (LalQila) built in 1648. Later, we visit other interesting sites such as the Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Qutab Minar & the Humayun’s tomb. We will also drive through the colonial buildings which still retain its complete charm.

Day 3

We travel to the Mughal city, Agra. There, we visit Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We will also visit Agra Fort and if time permits, we will visit the tomb of Itmadullah.

Day 4

We travel towards the west for the beautiful pink city of Jaipur. In the evening, we will enjoy a traditional Rajasthani meal at an ethnic resort.

Day 5

We will have a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur, which includes the Amber Fort, attractions such as the Sukh Mandir (temple of contentment) and the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace). We will also stop by the Palace of wind, Jantar Mantar (the observatory) and the city palace complex. In the evening, we head towards Pushkar for the festival.

Day 6

Festival day!  After breakfast, we join the Pushkar Fair festivities. Depending on the day of our arrival, we get to see the events scheduled for the day.

Day 7

Festival day! You may want to explore Pushkar Fair on your own with leisure. In the afternoon, you will have a transfer to Ajmer for connecting a train to Delhi. After arriving in Delhi, you will relax at the hotel.

Day 8

With the hotel check-out, your tour with us comes to an end.
