La Tomatina Festival

La Tomatina of Spain is celebrated each year in Buñol. This festival started in 1940’s when a ‘tomato’ riot took place. This riot was against the town’s councilmen. Consequently, the riot turned into celebration over the years. And this celebration attracts thousands of visitors from around the globe.

La Tomatina begins with a tomato fight. This includes all visitors soaked with water by the locals. There are water pipers, water bombs, water pistols and anyway a person could be soaked in minutes. Trucks on the streets carry tons of tomatoes with them. The participants of the festival take the luxury of throwing as many tomatoes as one possibly can. Here strangers turn into friends over the tomato fight. In addition, take tons of memories back with them. At the end of the event, locals rinse everyone with water, As a result, this event transitions into an amazing after party in Valencia.
